Eyewitness Media Ltd is a new media company making television and film from a visual, diverse perspective.
Whether your project is big or small, email firstname.lastname@example.org and get in touch.
We are currently working on four new commissions, for broadcasters in the UK and Australia, and a national charity.
The company, based near Leeds, was set up by Charlie Swinbourne, an award-winning director and screenwriter who has specialised in making TV and films in British Sign Language for the last decade.
Charlie is himself deaf, and grew up in a deaf family.
As a screenwriter, he penned the TV dramas My Song and Departure Lounge, rude mockumentary Hands Solo, the mini-series The Fingerspellers and YouTube smash Coming Out. He also wrote a short film for NSPCC explaining the charity’s Underwear Rule.
As a journalist, Charlie has written for the Guardian, BBC online, and the Mirror. He has edited The Limping Chicken since 2012, which is now the world’s most popular deaf blog, clocking up over 5 million views. In 2013, writing on the site, Charlie broke the worldwide news story about the fake interpreter at Nelson Mandela’s memorial service.
